FIX ZESCO PROTEST

Ministry of Energy meets with protestors over Power Rationing. Citizens staged a protest against ZESCO, expressing frustration over frequent power outages and high electricity tariffs. The demonstration has reignited discussions about energy management and accountability in the country.

Headscarf Court Challenge

A Lusaka woman, Rizicky Fatacky, has taken the Zambia Police Service to the High Court, challenging their demand that she remove her headscarf during an alleged illegal detention. She argues that this act violated her fundamental rights to freedom of religion and conscience, as wearing a headscarf is a religious obligation in Islam to maintain modesty.
